A successful lawyer entering his middle years, Thomas knew something was missing. He felt disconnected from people and things that had been important to him, and wondered where his life was going. Then he found Wisdom Ways. With renewed energy and zest for living, he embarked on a spiritual path that led to social justice. He became a volunteer in his community and experienced fulfillment he had never before known, celebrating the Holy in self, others and the earth.

Welcoming seekers of all ages, genders and faiths, Wisdom Ways is a ministry for spiritual development founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The Wisdom Ways Center for Spirituality serves thousands of people every year in their search for meaning in contemporary life, including Quakers, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Catholics and Protestants. In transforming themselves, participants in Wisdom Ways find they are empowered to go forward and transform society. As one longtime participant says, “Walking together with the Sisters in the search — like walking the paths of labyrinth —is like walking the paths of your life in reflection. And that’s a ritual that will take you far.”
