The Center for Women, Economic Justice, and Public Policy at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota promotes community collaboration and active learning to advance the creation of just economic policies and systemic change. "The Code," formally known as "The Code of Conduct to Protect Children Against Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism," is an international set of guidelines by which travel and tourism companies have pledged to operate in order to end the commercial sex trade in children. It is estimated that up to two million children annually are exploited for this purpose. Carlson Companies was the first North American travel and hospitality company to sign the code.
The St. Joseph Worker Program (SJW) is a new kind of volunteer program that trains, supports, and mentors women to be change agents while meeting direct needs in the community and working for justice.
