Resources for Teachers

We are delighted that your students have expressed an interest in joining the I’m In campaign to support the projects of the Sisters of St. Joseph. We want to be sure you know about the idea and can work with your students. We also want to offer some tools.

The idea behind I’m In is that the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts. If 20,000 individuals or families contribute $50, we will have $1,000,000.

This campaign offers a chance for you to talk with young learners about the idea of giving. A January 2008 article in the Catholic Spirit offers some keen insights on the concept. There are great books you will find at the library or bookstore. Try these. Though this is an Amazon list you will find many of these titles and more at your school or public library.

There are also some wonderful ideas for projects that help children understand the concept. Click here for an amazing array of possibilities that might work for your classroom.

We hope you will approach I’m In as a learning as well as a giving opportunity. We invite you and your students to learn about the importance of supporting projects such as the ministries of the Sisters. The I’m In homepage offers links to several CSJ project websites through which your students can get a glimpse into how their contribution makes a difference.

Thank you for the support you are giving your students and that your students are giving to the work of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
