What is The Good Works Circle?

What do construction companies, printers, financial investors, a cleaners, optometrist, a cemetery, and interior designer have in common? They all are part of the growing number of businesses that have joined The Good Works Circle.

To join The Good Works Circle, businesses as diverse as the Sisters' ministries give $250 or more to support the social-service programs of the Sisters.

“Their gifts of $250 or more return very tangible, hopeful outcomes for people who are poor and need help in our community,” says Sister Irene O’Neill, Executive Director of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Ministries Foundation.

Just what will a gift of $250 do for people in need. Consider these stats:

An annual gift of $250 or more will:

  • provide health care for at least one person for a year through the St. Mary’s Health Clinics, or
  • supply prescription medication to St. Mary’s Health Clinic patients, or
  • provide a safe home for women who have been abused or tortured, or
  • pay for quality day care for a preschooler whose parents are actively looking for work, or
  • provide instruction to new Americans from 80 different countries who are eager to learn English.

Just what will a gift of $250 or more do for your business? Consider the real-value of your contribution, beyond helping the community:

  • business name, logo and website address will appear on The Good Works Circle webpage, visible to thousands of our donors.
  • business name, logo and website address will appear in the Sisters of St. Joseph Ministries Foundation 2006-2007 Annual Report.
  • Your business will be listed in The Catholic Spirit announcing to its 90,000 readers that you are a member of The Good Works Circle.

That’s real value and visibility for your company. At the same time, your donation will help some of the 14,000 people the Sisters serve.

Here’s what we’ve heard from businesses that have joined The Good Works Circle:
