Joanne Emmer, CSJ: A Retrospective

The Sisters of St. Joseph Ministries Foundation displayed the work of artist Joanne Emmer, CSJ in a month-long retrospective exhibit throughout April at Carondelet Center, 1890 Randolph Ave., St. Paul.

Throughout her career as a Sister of St. Joseph, artist, and art professor, Joanne Emmer has explored many media – oil, watercolor, woodcuts, printmaking, and — her particular favorite — acrylic wash.

Joanne Emmer, CSJ: A Retrospective included Emmer’s “Earth Series,” the artist’s perspective on Minneapolis-St. Paul neighborhoods. 20 of the 21 original works were for sale to benefit the Sisters of St. Joseph network of programs that bring help and hope to people in need.  Several acrylic wash paintings and limited edition framed and unframed prints are still available!
